Championship Manager 2010 - CM2010

I got a new game!
The Championship Manager 2010, or better known as CM 2010.

I'm not really excited about this game, because i am actually anticipating the Football Manager 2010 to come out in the next few weeks.

But hey, since this game is out, why not give it a try?

If you haven't already know, CM is a football game, where you become the manager of any team that you like, and well, manage it.
You won't be playing the match, instead you'll be the manager.
You'll be in charge of the players formation, tactics, transfers, training and basically everything.

So far, i've only played a few matches, and it is by far the most detailed CM yet.
I've never really played CM (i prefer FM), but it's kinda good.

The game is about 3GBs in size and the graphics are great.
Even the matches look great in 3D, just like playing Pro Evolution Soccer.

Everything is detailed

Since this game is just out recently, there are still a lot of things to learn, and there aren't that many tips and tricks available in the internet.
However, if you've been playing a manager game for some time, you should know the gist by now. All the wonderkids and stuff. Yeah.

Wonderkid alert

But there's one thing that i just can't tolerate.
I don't know why, the matches are too slow.

Not slow as in performance or lagging or whatever.
Maybe the word long is more appropriate.
The matches take too long to complete.

At least the graphics are good

A football match lasts 90 minutes right?
But in a game, of course you have to scale it down or something.
However in this game, 1 minute in the real world equals to maybe around 20 or 30 seconds of the game.

Which means, one full match, it might take around 40 minutes for 1 match to complete.
What the fuck?
I'm not gonna sit there for 40 minutes and watch stupid animated 3D shit running all over the pitch.
And that's after setting the speed and timer at "very fast".
Imagine "normal".

Sigh. It's hard to be a football manager.
Just ask Rafa Benitez. LOL

Sakit kepala woo

Playing a game as a class assignment is cool

How would that sound to you?
Wouldn't it be exciting?

The word assignments have been synonymous with students since forever. And the word assignment is not good news either.

I'm afraid that i have to give you some extra work. Go and play DoTA for 5 rounds NOW!

However, this is not the case for the girlfy. She actually had to do an assignment, for her Business subject or something, by playing a game.
WTF?

Yep. The lecturer told her class to play the game Lemonade Tycoon 2. LOL.
Since the game involves err.. selling lemonades, it does involve business.

Assignment 1

In the game, you start as some nigga in the Bronx, selling lemonades in your neighbourhood. As your business grow, you expand your business and move to bigger places and create franchises and so on.
There are quite a few basics of business that you can learn in this game.

The game is fairly simple. You mix you recipe for the lemonade, you order your stocks, set the price and there, that's it.
You can also upgrade your lemonade stall, train your staffs and so on.
This game is simple and easy to understand.
Not to mention educational. haha

Selling lemonades can make you rich faster than a skim cepat kaya

The girlfy's lecturer said that the game is used to show the students how to manage your business and so on. How nice eh?
Every student needs to play the game, get a lot of print screens, and make a report regarding the whole thing.

And the best part is, the student who gets the highest points in the game will get extra marks!
How fucking cool is THAT?

I'm a fucking computer science student and not even a single lecturer has mentioned the word 'game'!
All they know about is case studies, reports, coding and shit.
Bloody typical computer geeks.
Damn.

Typical. But he smokes!

But hey, since i'm in a good mood today, i'll give you the download link for the game.
It's free, it's the full version and it's only 10mb small.
It's those kind of games where you just want to waste some time.

And make sure to install the game properly, or else you would end up playing the
60 minute trial version!

Do leave a comment if you have problems installing it.

Study Week or "Study" Week?

So, the exams are upon me, and during this study week, i have not been studying at all that much. That's normal i guess, for me. I'm not the kind of person who does things early. And that applies to my studies as well.
Selagi tak last minit betul-betul, tak study la.

So, during this free time, there are so many things to do, apart from studying. Among the things are:

In-house Karaoke

No, i did not go to any KTV lounge or Red Box or even a "Karok Jamban". This is home-made karaoke.
Using my very own set of speakers, 2 laptops, a mic, and a huge collection of music, voila!, a karaoke system is born!

Speaker 1 out of 5

A sub-woofer is a must

2 laptops, 1 for music library, the other for speaker/mic jack

Aha, nice eh? Our very own karaoke box. No fees needed. No time limits. Food and beverages are welcomed. Any songs that you want. Interested to join us?
hahahaha

The next activity is:

Poker/BlackJack/Gambling

No real money is used, yet.. ahahaha.
All that is needed is a deck of cards, some space, and a whole lot of luck (and balls too).

This is not me shuffling the cards as i never lose. Uh huh.

Notice the reddish light/atmosphere? Well, to make the whole club/casino thingy atmosphere a bit more real, we decided to put some red plastic on a study lamp.
Baru ada feeling beb!
Our very own casino + KTV lounge. hohoho

More than just a study lamp

The study lamp in all it's glory

Although karaoke-ing pollutes the environment, it is done for a good cause. To relax the mind after a long studying session. And after letting some steam off, i can go back and continue to study. Not only did i manage to train my vocals, i also kept others awake, so that they can study. lol

As for the gambling part though, it's quite addictive, i must say. No no, money is not used. Haram tu! Only fake tokens are used. hahaha.
Since my luck is so good, maybe i'll try to challenge the taiko-taiko up there in Genting. Or maybe get on a cruise ship to gamble or something. hahahaha.

Till then, back to studying. This time for real. Exams are soooo near already.
And more "study" activities will be shared soon.

Good Luck!

Makhluk Malam

There's this game i play, which is Defense of the Ancients (DotA). Okay, i'm not gonna tell you about the gameplay or how to play it or anything that might be boring to non-gamers, but there's this one character in this game that i just got to share with you.

This character/hero is The Night Stalker, whose name is Balanar. Aha. This hero is pretty unique and interesting in its own way. This hero is very powerful during the nighttime. He walks very fast, attacks really really fast, and is very active during the night.

But during daytime, this Balanar guy is just rubbish. He is slow, his powers are less effective, he walks like a snail, and can't really do much actually. But still, given a good item and good playing strategy, he can still be effective during the daytime, which is quite hard to accomplish.

So, why am i telling you a story about the Night Stalker?

Basically, me and my mates have been living the Balanar life for the past week. hahaha.

At night, our activities include:

  • Futsal
  • Play games
  • Go out. Jalan-jalan
  • Eat eat eat eat and eat some more
  • Lepak.
  • Shisha
  • Internet
  • Do nothing
  • Disturb other people
  • Watch movies/series/dramas/you-name-it
  • And of course, STUDY. ehem.
Daytime, there's almost no activities. The only activity during daytime is:
  • Sleeping
  • Go to class. Again, ehem.

Just like the Balanar isn't it? From dusk till dawn, all of these creeps go out and start their activities, and will only sleep 10 seconds before sunrise.
Just as the sun is about to shine, and the as the ray of sunlight is about to creep in, alright everybody, close the curtains, turn off the music,
it's tido time.

Yes, what a life these Balanars are living. Unique, interesting, yet risky and full of adrenaline. This way of living is mainly because of the assignments, tests, work, you-name-it-we-have-it.

Even though for the past week, we have been living this way, still, our missions are accomplished. Nothing is broken, attendances are full, works and assignments - done, and all tests - answered. Not that bad after all, huh? How we managed to do all that is none of your business. muahaha.

But the Balanar lifestyle has surely taken it's toll, though.
Fevers, coughs, flus, headaches, migraine, everything.
*coughs*
And finally, the long-awaited weekend has arrived.

Now it's time to reset my hay-wired body clock all over again(which means, a whole lot more sleeping.. right?)

*dives onto bed*
