The Rotten Habit

After packing and unpacking my stuffs, from college to home,
i discovered something.
I have a bad habit.
A very very rotten habit.

I like to keep things.
Papers, bank slips, receipts, cigarette boxes, everything.
Rubbish.
But nothing's rotten bout that.

Wanna go to the sauna?

I tend to keep things, even when it's rotten/spoilt/rosak.
And in this case, it's food.

No, i don't keep nasi lemak or sate or whatever.
Usually, it's things like chocolates, sweets, biscuits, cakes, snacks, jajan, whatever.
They are the victims.

During the Raya season, there's a lot of cakes and kuihs in my house.
So, i brought a tupperware full of Kek Lapis Sarawak to college.
Of course, i couldn't finish it.
So, i kept it away in the cupboard, and totally forgot about it.

E.coli? Check. Fungi? Check. Salmonella? Check.

My sister likes to bake cakes, and everything that she bakes tastes hella good.
But the same thing happens, and in this case, the victim is a Chocolate Marble Cheese Cake.
I brought it to college, eat some, then keep it, and then forget. (err sorry Sis)

Doesn't look like marble to me alright

It's not that i don't want to eat it, it's not that it tastes bad (i wouldn't bring it in the first place then) or anything.
It's just procrastination at its highest level.
Whenever i remembered about it, i would go

"Ahh nanti la makan.. takde mood la."

And so i end up forgetting about the whole thing.
Damn.

Fruits are no exceptions too.
Especially fruits that needs to be peeled off, like pears, apples and such.

I said fruit, not speaker. Focus!

I would always take fruits from the dining hall in my college, and put it in my room.
Just to let it rot, i guess.

Even my friends ask me when am i going to throw THAT rotten pear.
Rather than throwing it straight away, i would say,

"Ala, nanti la.. biar je la dulu.. Sibuk ar kau.."

Once, i collected quite a number of fruits, enough to make a fruit basket and left it all in my friend's room.
One day, monkeys break into his room, and made a mess out of the rotten fruits.
Nice eh?
Sorry bro, my fault. hehe

Dude, where's my balls?

I've learned my lesson, and i i'll try to kick this habit away.
So, as a punishment to myself, i forced myself to come up with a pantun.

Kalau dimakan semua nanti gemuk,
Kalau tak dimakan pulak merajuk,
Kalau disimpan nanti berlapuk,
Hai, susah susah bagi je kat beruk!

Not Responding 2

Gile malas nak update blog.
This time i'm really busy, seriously.
Well, okay, not really that busy, but busier than usual.
It's almost a week into the start of the semester, still no classes yet. But busy as hell with some projects. No sweat though.

So, finally, i got my laptop repaired. Yeah, like finally.
It's been idle and rosak for almost 2 months. I only sent it for repair only a week before the semester starts. Luckily it's already okay now. Can't imagine my life without it.

You know what's wrong with my laptop? The motherboard is rosak.
Why? Overheating.
How come? I can't really blame the lappy since it's pre-rosak days, it's turned off only around twice a week or so. Well, make it three or four for the occasional blackouts. -_-
Plus, playing games for long hours is also a strain to my laptop, i just learned. (wtf right?)

So, before sending it for repair, i surveyed the cost for repairing and all at Low Yat. You know how much does it fucking costs?
RM500. Five freaking hundred just to repair the bloody motherboard.
And around 8-10 days.
And i was like nooo shittt.

I kept on surveying and basically the price range and the duration it takes is about the same. Then, while i was going down the elevator, then came this Chinese guy out of nowhere and said to me,
Lu mau repair laptop ka? Mari ikut saya. Saya bawak jumpa kawan saya. Manyak murah.
Alrighty then, no problem. So i followed him to his friend's shop.

It was an Indian/Bangladeshi shop i guess. But there's also this one Malay guy working there. I told him the problem, and he said,
Oh, ni motherboard rosak ni. Takdahal lah.
And i was somehow impressed, kinda. He said that it will cost me RM300. See the huge difference? I asked him how long and he said,
Ni kejap je. Esok pun boleh siap ni. Sebenarnye petang ni pun boleh, tapi takut tak sempat je.

No way, right? Almost half the price and takes just one freaking day to repair! I was quite sceptical at first, but what the hell, i'm broke, i'm desperate, and who gives a shit right?
So, i left it there and went back home.
The next day, i called the guy, and he said it's done. Gila excited beb!
So, i went there, tested it and everything's fine. Nice.

So i asked the guy, why the difference? He said,
biasalah, kat atas tu semua ambik untung banyak, buat kerja pun malas.
Whoa, great huh? He then told me to take care of the laptop and all. One of the reasons behind the overheating is also the AMD processor that i'm using, which is so fucking prone to overheating. Main game sikit dah panas. Camne nak buat kerja camni? LOL

Before i left, he also warned me about the laptop. He said that once the motherboard is rosak, there's always a chance that it will reoccur. Relapse, or whatever. And he said, and maybe it's not recoverable at all.
And his best advice was:
Trade-in or sell the laptop and buy a new one.
Erk.

And by the way, he's also a Computer Science student from UPM. But hey, i don't wanna work in Low Yat okay.

So, the thing is, now that my laptop is fine, well, it's not really fine. It crashes.
A lot. Plus all the not responding, Firefox crashes, Windows explorer crashes and what not.
I don't know why. It was like that also before repair.
So, i guess the guy was right after all. I do need to sell this laptop and get a new one.
I really need a stable, non-volatile laptop, so that i can do my work peacefully. Yes, work. Not games. Ahem.

So, for now, i just need to keep my fingers crossed so that this laptop won't crash while i'm doing my work, or even while i'm typing this for that matter.

And the final lesson is, RM10 coolers don't work. No they fucking don't. So is the RM20 ones.

The Shades

I love shades/sunglasses/kacamata hitam. I don't know what you call it, but i'm more comfortable using the word "shades". I own a lot of them. I wear them on a lot of occasions, mainly driving, going to the sea, travelling, or i just wear them to protect my eyes from the harmful rays of sunshine. Yeah.

I don't wear my shades to make me look good. Of course i look good wearing it, but that's not the main point since i look good in general, with or without shades, period. Puke if you want.
I don't wear shades to cover my eyes, my eyebags or panda eyes or whatever a bad-eye-day can turn me into.

Some people wear shades to the mall, at night, or even to the waterfall. Some people wear shades to cover their swollen/red eyes after taking party pills or any of those shitstuffs. I don't, and i think those people are stupid.

So, why the story about the shades? Well, it's because a good friend of mine has lost my shades. My favourite one at that. Great, huh?

It was a few weeks ago, and now i'm starting to miss my shades. There's this one night, i drove the Kancil Turbo alone, without my friends, going somewhere-somewhere. I brought along my favourite shades, and i accidentaly left it in the car. After returning the car to the owner, i went home, and i forgot about the shades. Oh, nevermind. What could happen anyway huh?

But then again, the next morning, this group of friends of mine went to the waterfall called Sungai Chilling. I did not manage to follow as i have some things to do at home. So, to go to the Sungai Chilling, of course the Kancil Turbo would be the victim. And my shades is inside the Kancil Turbo, left unattended, sitting prettily on the dashboard of the Kancil Turbo.

This particular friend of mine, Mr. C, is a very curious person. He knows that the shades belongs to me, and he damn well knows that how pissed i am gonna be if he breaks/loses my shades. Or any other of my stuff.

For your information, i really take good care of my stuffs, and i don't like people using my stuffs without my permission, no matter how small it might be. I don't like it when people simply takes my stuff without my permission, as i said earlier. A good example would be my 3-in-1 coffee, my clothes hanger, and stuffs like that. I told you i'm very particular, no matter how small it might be. Oh, and my speakers too. When i'm not around, especially the weekends, some of these friends would go to my place, and turn the bloody speakers loud while playing geli songs like Rindu Serindu-rindunya by Spoon. WTF????

Now, back to the shades thingy. This Mr. C happily wears my favourite shades to the waterfall, without me knowing it. No harm really huh? He even took photos and all. Okay, nevermind. Kasi can la. I don't really mind since you're a really good friend of mine.

So, the next day when i came back, i asked the owner of the Kancil Turbo about my shades (I don't know anything that time, yet). He told me to ask Mr. C. Okay then.
I asked Mr. C. He startled. And he made this so-called-innocent smile that supposedly makes me cair. No, Mr. C, I won't buy that.

He finally told me that he lost my shades. He LOST my favourite shades. Now, that's hard to swallow. He said that he wore the shades to the waterfall. And while busy doing i don't care what, he said that he saw the shades floating away in the violent waters of the waterfall. And he lets it float just like that. And he knows how i'm gonna react to that. But he did nothing.

All he could do now is apologize and buy me a new one. Hell no, i won't easily let you go. So, after some talks and persuasions, i finally admitted the fact that my favourite pair of shades is gone, forever. No amount of money can replace that thing. I don't care if you buy me a RM800 Oakley shades or a RM10 Bukit Bintang shades, it's still not the same.

Sigh. Poor thing, my shades. It has been serving me for a few years already. If i'm not mistaken, i bought it in London, or somewhere in Europe. Just like a bra supporting a woman, that shades have been sticking on to me and supporing me through thick and thin. And now it's gone. And not because of me pulak tu! Grrrrr...

Nevermind, i'll use my other shades, or i'll find myself a new pair of shades. I don't mind the price or the brand, as long as it fits me and fits on all occassions, i'm pretty fine with that. So, to the readers, if you have some extra cash you don't know how to spend on, you know what to buy. ahahaha.

To my favourite shades, you might be in the deep waters of the Sungai Chilling, or may even picked up by an Orang Asli, or wherever you might be, thank you for your services. I will always remember you. Rest in peace.

So, there are 2 lessons. One for you and one for me.

My lesson: Do not leave your stuffs where your friends people can easily use/break/lose it. Keep it safe.

Your lesson: Never use/break/lose my stuffs, or hell will break loose.
