The Fuel Lid/Cover

This is the continuation of the post entitled I Filled Up the Gas for Free.
If you haven't read it yet, it is advisable that you read it first so that you can attain the maximum input from
the story.

---------------------------------------------------

So, right after filling up the gas with the girlfy at the Kg. Baru Petronas station,
we decided to go to Mid Valley to pick up our booked cinema ticket, Jennifer's Body.

To avoid the after-office traffic jam,  we used some shortcuts here and there (Girlfy is GPS).
We even used the University Malaya exits to avoid traffic.
And just right outside UM, near the Pantai area, something weird happened.

There were quite a lot of cars on the road, and the traffic was somewhat heavy.
Then there was this rempitmotorcyclist beside our car.
The windscreen was wind down (the Kancil Turbo has faulty air-conds) and this motorcyclist guy is shouting to us, from the girlfy's side.

Kak, kak!

The guy was shouting to the girlfy, and he was pointing towards the car.
I looked at the guy, and i was like, what the hell is wrong with this him?
I'm afraid that he might snatch the girlfy's handbag or something (this cases do happen).

I looked again at him, and he looks kinda familiar.
Wait, this guy looks familiar.
Oh, it's a faculty mate.
Then he shouted,

Eh, Arip!
Weh, tempat minyak kau terbukak doh!

I couldn't really hear him because both of us were speeding.
After a while, i managed to understand what he was saying, and so i immediately stopped by the road
to take a look.

Indeed. The fuel lid was open, and the fuel tank's lid was right on top of the car.
Still there, unmoved.

Gempak tak?

I'm not sure how did the thing can manage to stay up there from Kg. Baru to Bangsar via Damansara.
It's as if the thing did not move at all, even after some extreme manoeuvres and all.
What are the odds?

I would not want to imagine what would, or could have happened if i did not realise about the fuel lid.
Just a flick of a cigarette would blow us into smithereens, and you would be reading some tragic story in the newspaper instead of this post.

Now, THAT, was close.
I still do have a little bit of luck in me i guess.

So, the moral of the story is

If you want to take money which is not yours, always be EXTRA careful after that.

Never ever take anything that doesn't belong to you.
Honesty is the best policy.

Or are there more lessons?
Ahh.. whatever. I learned mine.

I Filled Up the Gas for Free

I went out with the girlfy yesterday.
So, as usual, if i'm in the college, i would borrow my friend's Kancil Turbo.

Normally, when you use somebody's car, you would always fill up the oil right?
Of course.
So, i filled up the gas at the Petronas station in Kg. Baru. It was around 5pm, and the after office rush is starting to kick in.

So, i filled up RM10 (cukup la tu) for that time, and gave the akak counter RM50.
The balance was supposed to be RM40, right?

RM50 - RM10 = RM40

But no. She gave me 5 pieces of RM10 instead.
I counted the money in front of her.
She was unaware. Totally.
This means, i'm about to fill up the gas for free.

Then, guilty conscience starts to creep in.

Should i take it?
or
Should i return it?

Usually, in most cases, i would surely return back the money. It's just RM10 anyway.
But somehow, i really had a hard time in deciding whether to return or not.
Damn.

Then, i slowly turned around, and walked away from the counter.

What the fuck? Why am i doing this?
It's not worth it. Think of all the 'sial' that's surely gonna happen.
Remember Karma?
What you give you get back. What you take you will lose.
Quick, go and return it!

Somehow, after all that shit came up on my mind,
i couldn't gather enough strength to turn back and return the money.
I went straight to the car, and drove off.
Why oh why?

I am Evil.
I'm sorry.
I never intended it.

If you were in my position, what would you do?

And little that i know, this decision would later haunt me....
Don't forget to come back later and read the continuation of this story..

I Need Good __uck

Yuck? Duck?

It's 6am, and i have an exam in about 2 hours time.
Yep, the exams have officially started for me.

Being a last minute person, staying up the night before the exam is usual.
Nothing new.
Well, i don't have much choice really, haha.

I have been awake for around 12 hours, and it looks like i won't be sleeping till the next 12 hours.
Because why? The girlfy will be back this afternoon!
Err.. great timing huh? YAYYY!!

Luckily, there's only one paper today for me.
And the next next one next week.

And so, that is why i need some goooooood... luck.
You know that i have issues with Lady Luck, right?

And do not fill in the empty blank with inappropriate letters please?
I'm trying to study here okay? Hello.

I want that one. And that one. And that one too!

So, good luck to me!
I'll try my best to SCORE today! (the exam, that is)

A Christmas to remember

It's been quite a while since i posted something here. Sorry for the delay. Too many things to be done, too busy (yeah right). Oh and by the way, it's still not too late to wish a happy new year right?
Happy New Year!
Aha, okay. No new year stories, and no new year's resolution bullshit. Well, it's about Christmas. Haha, yeah, Christmas.

Actually, i wanted to post something sometime during Christmas, a story, in fact. But then, since the Internet connection is bloody slow, i did not manage to post the story. Basically, i typed it half-way, but i don't know how, it kinda got lost. Yeah. Blame everything else but me. But since i'm in a story-telling mood, let me share with you my Christmas story. And therefore i'll type the whole thing again. And one more thing, there's actually 2 parts, with 2 stories, but with the same theme. LOL. But i'll save the second part for the next post aight?

On the 25th of December, which is Christmas day, everybody around the world was in a good spirit. Festive spirit, family reunions, holidays, and what not. But since i don't really celebrate Christmas, there's no turkey, or a Christmas tree with a lampu lip-lap or anything close to that. No parties, no kenduri, no nothing. So, that night, me and the girlfy decided to go and watch a midnight movie.

We went to Midvalley since the parking rate is dirt cheap. It was a Malay movie, Histeria. The movie was not that bad. It's not scary or frightening for me, but it does have a terkejut-terkejut moment (not that i'm really terkejut though). So, the movie was okay, and we went out of the cinema feeling kinda satisfied. As usual, when i got up from the seat, i would check my pockets, my seat and my surroundings so that i won't leave anything behind.

As we were walking towards the autopay station, i realized something.
The parking ticket is not in my pocket.
Damn.

So, a frantic search operation begins. I searched my pocket, my wallet, everything. Nope, not there. The girlfy checks her bag, her purse and everything. Still no parking ticket. I said to the girlfy that i may have left it in the car (which is so not me). So, we went to the car, search here there and everywhere. Still, no parking ticket. There's everything inside (summonses, rubbish etc.) except the bloody parking ticket.
And panic starts to filter through my body.

I knew that i had put it in my pocket. But it was nowhere to be found.
So, we went back to the cinema. Since our movie was one of the last movies for that night, by the time we got there back, the cinema was already closed. There were a few GSC staffs out there, so i asked them if they could let us inside to search for the parking ticket.
Searching....
No, not in the cinema. Not on our seats. Not even on the floor.
I even went to the toilet to see maybe if it's there. None.

So, since there's not much option left, we had to prepare for the worse. Actually, the parking would just cost us RM1. One freaking ringgit. But a lost ticket would cost us me 50 bloody RMs!
Shit.
Big time!

After some fighting and shouting, I convinced the girlfy that i put the ticket inside my pocket, although i usually put it inside my wallet. So, it must have fell off when i took out my wallet. Suddenly, i remembered something. The only time i took out my wallet was while paying for the movie ticket.
Wait, that can't be right?

If that thing had slipped out of my pocket, it would have been at the counter, around 2 hours before that!
But what the hell, why not just try and check the counter right?

So, we ran like two mad idiots on a lonely midnight towards the counter. When we got there, the counter is already closed. It was dark, and the steel partition is already down. So, we looked around on the floor, and guess what.
Guess what?

The parking ticket is lying there. All alone. Upside-down. Untouched.
In front of the counter.

What a relief..!!!
Imagine, what are the odds??

The parking ticket is still there after more than 2 hours!
To put it simple, it fell off, i went inside and watched the whole movie, gone back to the car, search here and there, and then i go back there, and it's still there!
It could have easily been swept off by the cleaner, or maybe blown by the wind, or even picked up by some curious bastard!
But no! It was still there!

Oh, how thankful was i that moment. Only God knows how i felt that time.
I could have lost RM50 that night. It could have been the most expensive parking ever. Fortunately enough, i just needed to pay only 1/50 of that amount.
Phew!

So, was that bad luck, or was i lucky?
Whatever it was, it's surely a Christmas to remember.
Good times baby, good times.

Freedom

Finally, the semester has come to an end and the long-awaited holidays has arrived.
Yay, the exams are over!
Now it's time to relax, enjoy, and rest after using so much of my energy during the examination period. hahaha

Just after the final day of the exams, people start to go back to their respective hometowns. But i wonder, why so early? Lepak la dulu.. I guess everybody misses their hometowns huh?
There's nothing for me to miss though, hahaha.. I can go back home anytime i want and whenever i want.

So, now i'm already home. Aahh.. finally. Now is the chance for me to truly relax, lepak, and waste time as much as i can. I don't think i'm gonna find myself a part-time job, cause the holidays is just about a month, so, there's nothing much can be done and nothing much can be gained anyway. So, i'm better off doing what i do best, which is, wasting time. heheheh

Talking about freedom, there's this series of events called the Freedom Series. It all started with the 2 days of Freedom festival, where DJ Tiesto came over. I went to that event in Port Dickson, and after filling in some surveys and so on, later they sent me an e-mail to join the Freedom membership.

So, i registered, as it was free and all, and everytime Freedom does an event, i will be informed. The next up and coming event will be the Freedom Elite Private Event, which is only for the lucky 5000 amongst the registered members. At first, i'm not really interested in it, as it requires you to RSVP really really early and i'm still not sure whether i'm gonna have plans for that weekend or not.

No better way to kick-start the holiday

So, the dateline is up, and the RSVP is closed. But a few days later, they said that by requests, they have extended the RSVP. So, i just tried my luck and just confirmed that i will be going to that event.

When i came home yesterday, the maid gave me a letter. It's from the Freedom Elite itself. hahaha. I got the exclusive pass to the event this weekend held at Bukit Kiara Equestrian Park. I even got the Freedom Passport, with my name and IC on it, so that i can attend future Freedom events. How cool is that?

RARE Luck

But.. the problem is, this thing that i got, is just for one person (if i'm not mistaken). It's kinda logic for this pass to be for one person. But WTF? As much as i want to go to this event, i'm not going alone. For example, if you are always in a group of 5. Then, all of you in the group registers for this event, and RSVPed to this event. But, out of the 5 who registered, only 2 gets the pass. I'm sure that for events like this, you wanna go with all your friends right?

The pass, the passport and the flyer

So, how now? I want to go to this event. But i ain't gonna go there alone. The girlfy didn't register, so she doesn't have the pass. Unless i can bring her to the event using this one pass, then it's okay. But i don't think it's worth a try/gamble. Karang tak dapat masuk lagi sorang, menganga je. And the best thing is of course, the pass is not transferable. My name and IC is on the pass, so, no, i can't give this pass to anyone.

And by the way, during the event, there will be a free-flow of beverages. Rugi kalau tak pergi. hahahaha

How meh?
